Dhamli

Dhamli Tour

A village lying about 35 km south of Pali in Rajasthan, Dhamali came into existence in 17th century. Maharaja Abhay Singhji of Jodhpur granted Dhamli as a jagir to Budhsinghji of Harsolav who belonged to Champawat clan of Rathores for the exemplary courage they exhibited in the battle of Ahmedabad in 1780. Dhamli has derived its name from Dhamaji Charan, one of the earliest inhabitants of the village.

Dhamli is surrounded by villages inhabited by tribals who make the place rich by their culture, customs and fairs and festivals. A tour to these parts exposes people to the rural side of Rajasthan and a lifestyle that is alien to most of the guests.

The guests also get a chance to visit the homes of th etribals which further enhance them to a life style they never thought existed.

Visitors can take photographs of the tribals and their villages and bazaars and carry them as a souvenir for their trip to Dhamli. They might also buy local goods and carry them as a present for their friends and families back home.

Testimonial

I booked a travel package of Rajasthan for me and my friend. It was a 15 day trip of India's desert state. Most of the cities we visited were well connected with national highways, providing us the easy accessibility of various places. However, some areas were congested making for us difficult to reach on time that may be because of development works on going on places. We loved our heritage hotel stays at Jaipur and Udaipur. We enjoyed the excursions of remote villages and desert. Good execution of trip.
